Q. Will AMSC deliver to my schedule and in the small lot quantities that I need?

A: AMSC allows you to take advantage of high volume manufacturing and shipping efficiencies – even if you can only accept low volume deliveries. We maintain stateside buffer inventories at our warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga for just that reason. We will deliver the quantities you need just in time, regardless of your total production volume.

A: Typically, good candidates for off shore manufacturing are companies that have a product that is in the mature stage of its product life cycle. Also important is the ability to predict annual usage in order to minimize on hand inventories while gaining the most efficient freight costs. Having volumes that are high enough to order in container load quantities is also important as is overall dollar volume. Add to this having a product that is not too simple, so that the competitive labor cost in Asia is leveraged as much as possible, and the ability to produce full assemblies instead of components usually lead to the most successful projects.

A: Our experience in the manufacturing specifics of Asia, and our experience manufacturing across various disciplines, combined with your key input in the collaboration stage, allow us to create a manufacturing process as well as a quality procedure to ensure your product is made to your specifications. We work diligently through various sign off processes with you to ensure that drawings and manufacturing plans are geared toward a successful manufacture of your product. Our company makes no products for general resale, everything we manufacture is done so to a given companies specifics so we practice what we preach every day.

A: AMSC handles all freight and duty issues. We leave the option open for our customers to manage their own freight, but today all of our customers use AMSC as we have incredibly competitive rates. Product that we manage comes to your door and you simply pay the freight and duty on the same invoice in which you pay for your product. This turn key solution allows you to focus on other things while we manage the door to door logistics.

A: Our US office is the main point of contact for all of our North American customers. We have a support staff that is capable of both proactive and reactive communication. Each week, customers with open purchase orders to AMSC, receive email notification of the details on each individual PO. Additionally, our project engineering team, as well as our sales support team, have regular phone and face to face interaction during the collaboration and launch phase processes, and continuing ongoing education with sales support and management throughout the life of the relationship.

Initially, supply AMSC with the best information possible in the request for quote (RFQ) package is critical - this allows us to provide the most accurate quotation and production timelines. Second, identify key company managers to work with our project engineering team in the crucial collaborative product launch stage. Third, keep the lines of communication open so AMSC can learn as much about you as you about AMSC and so AMSC can react to industry or company specific information that affects production of your product.
